Yoko Perkins' Obituary
Yoko Perkins passed away peacefully on June 3,2025. Yoko was born on April 10,1933 in Tokyo, Japan the daughter of Totaro and Mitsu Inage. She had four sisters Kimiko, Chiyoko, Emiko and Meiko. Yoko had three brothers
Koichi,Keiichi and Kunikatsu. She was preteen during war world 2. After the war she met her sailor Macray Perkins through a mutual friend in Yokosuka, Japan. She married Macray in spring 1958. They welcome their first daughter Alice Yoko Perkins now married to Scotty Lewis in 1959 in Yokosuka Japan. A true Navy wife packed up their bags and resigned to Coronado California. In1961 they welcome their second daughter Beulah Mitsu Perkins now married to Carlos Corona. Eventually the Navy had them live in Concord CA, Yokosuka Japan and San Diego. She very active in Japanese women’s Clubs and Karaoke classes and competitions where she won various awards. She loved to sing. She even had her Grandson Timothy John Lewis singing in Japanese at 2 years old. She loved everyone and was loved by everyone, very energetic loved gardening and casinos. Yoko loved Family get together Taco and Sushi Parties. Friends of the family’s children affectionately called her Grandma Yoko. She had many friends She will be missed. We love you Mom and Bachan.
