Thank you Laura for you kind words. Mom loved your visits and always enjoyed your generous and sweet spirit.
I met Audrey and Johnny Babb during one of their many visits to Iowa to visit her sister, Juanita Churchill, who was a good friend of my parents. As neighbors do, Audrey and Johnny transported a few small items from Iowa to California for me. They were so generous and gracious with this assistance. Juanita and my mother visited California in the late 1990's which created another opportunity to spend time with Audrey and Johnny. Neighbors across two states!!! This was a very pleasant time for everyone. More recently, during visits to their home I became more aware of our shared heritage of growing up in Iowa and traveling in the United States. Audrey and I had a similar shared experience, we moved to California to marry our spouses, almost 40 years apart!!!! These experiences with Audrey revealed to me how wonderfully generous and fair-minded she was. While It was hard for her to think about the end of her life, she made every effort to engage with her family and friends to appreciate them fully. Audrey will be remembered by many for her devotion to her family and friends, her own creativity and love of folk art, and her ability to take on challenges with enthusiasm and grace. There are immeasurable loving thoughts and prayers of support for her loving husband, devoted daughters, adoring grandchildren and great grand daughter. With deep sympathy, Carol Lambert
