Bernetta, Bernetta was like a Mother to me in so many ways having grown up across the street from Tom and his parents. In my earliest memories Tom an I would play board games on their living room floor or take field trips to the canyon below Lake Murry. On one such adventure I remember Tom an I having fallen into the stream below the dam getting wet an muddy. Returning home, covered in mud Bernetta took it all in with only a "good Lord" comment an got us quickly cleaned up again. On another field trip to Green Valley Falls with Tom and his parents we found ourselves without a bathing suit. This did not slow us down though and we swam in the stream in our jeans. For the ride back home though we had to undress down to our skivvies and ride in the back seat covered by a blanket. Once home Bernetta opened the car door an I took off running into the house in my you know what! Those and so many more events took place under the watchful eye of Bernetta. I will now and always remain devoted to the many memories of growing up around Tom, Gerry and his Mother Bernetta. Rest-in-peace Bernetta, You were loved by all who knew you. JIM & SUSAN HADLEY
