In Loving Memory of Celia B. de Castillo 1924 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Celia B. de Castillo, who departed this life peacefully at the age of 101.
Born in 1924, Celia lived through a century of profound change and progress, meeting each chapter of life with resilience, grace, and an unshakable spirit. She was a woman of great strength, wisdom, and quiet determination. Qualities that guided her as she raised her 11 children, all of whom survive her and continue to carry forward her legacy of love and perseverance.
Celia’s life was centered around family. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and endless generosity, a space where everyone felt welcomed and where traditions were lovingly preserved. She had a remarkable way of making each person feel uniquely seen and cherished.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Celia touched the lives of all who knew her. Her stories, her kindness, and her unwavering support will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
She leaves behind a large and loving family who will honor her memory by living their lives with the compassion, strength, patience and faith she instilled in them.
A celebration of Celia’s life will be held on August 11, 2025 from 4pm-8pm at Greenwood Memorial Park 4300 Imperial Ave. San Diego. CA 92113. Requiem Mass will be held on August 12, 2025 at 9:30am Holy Trinity Church 405 Ballard St, El Cajon, CA 92019. Final Farewell to follow 4300 Imperial Ave. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.

Con profundo dolor y mucho amor, la familia informa del fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre y abuela, Celia B. de Castillo, quien partió en paz a los 101 años de edad.
Nacida en 1924, Celia fue testigo de más de un siglo de historia, cambios y desafíos, siempre enfrentando la vida con fortaleza, sabiduría y un corazón lleno de amor. Fue el pilar de su familia y una fuente de inspiración para todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.
Celia fue madre de 11 hijos, quienes hoy la sobreviven y continúan su legado con orgullo, gratitud y cariño. Fue una mujer dedicada a su familia, entregando cada día su amor incondicional, sus consejos sabios y su ejemplo de humildad.
Su hogar siempre estuvo lleno de risas, abrazos y los aromas de su caldo de pollo. Para sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos, fue más que una abuela: fue guía, consuelo y fuerza.
Celia deja tras de sí una familia extensa que continuará honrando su memoria y transmitiendo los valores que ella les inculcó: amor, respeto, paciencia, fe y unidad.
La celebración de su vida se llevará a cabo el día 11 de Agosto a las 4pm-8pm en Greenwood Memorial Park 4300 Imperial Ave. San Diego, CA 92113. Misa 12 de Agosto a las 9:30am Iglesia Holy Trinity 405 Ballard St, El Cajon, CA 92019. Entierro a seguir de la misa, 4300 Imperial Ave. Todos los que la conocieron y la amaron están cordialmente invitados a acompañarnos en este homenaje.
