in honor of Daniel.

I recently just heard of Daniels passing. I go to him every year for my taxes and had gotten my tax documents earlier than expected this year. I messaged him because he was always so helpful and I really enjoyed getting to see him every year for tax time. He never responded which I thought was odd because he was always very eager to help. I called the company in which he worked for and they informed me of the news. I immediately was filled with grief and sadness and even cried. Although I didn’t know him as well as most of you did, in the short time I did know him he really left an impact. My condolences are with his closest friends and family. He will genuinely be missed. I have been going to him since I was about 16-17 and got my first ever job. (I am now 27). Thank you Daniel for sharing your knowledge, and helping me every year. Thank you for sharing the personal things you did about your life and just leaving a positive impact on this world and every person you encountered. I have no idea how I’m ever going to find a tax specialist as good as you but that’s ok I’ll take with me the experiences/knowledge you’ve left me with. Rest in Peace

Danny boy, I have fond memories of you when I used to come visit my cousin Miriam in San Diego and Sam. We had so much fun hanging out. I remember you always had a smile it never faded all the time. Rest in Peace. You are God's favorite child. May God comfort family and friends. Till we meet again your smile and fun personality will continue to light a ray of light in our hearts. My heartfelt condolences to Danny's family and everyone who considered him family and a friend. It's still so unreal.
Some shared sentiments from friends about Danny.
Our dear Danny boy was a loving young chap, great brother, friend, son and uncle. A gift to all of us. God-sent angel with a pure heart of gold, full of life, energy, love and care. You could only LOVE Danny, you had no other way. A funny brother who was so vibrant, always lit up the room when he entered, with his big ol smile and cheekish laugh and sagging pants (oh those sagging pants). And those big teddybear hugs he freely gave. Or his very protective nature over his sisters when we were out (and trust me, we were many sisters). He loved the company of his many friends and family. You'd ask Danny how have you been Danny and what have you been up to and he'd say "ahhh nothing much, just parambulating, here and there whaat, whaat". That elongated "whaat whaat" always got me. LOL. Even after leaving San Diego, we still kept in touch. He always responded to my msgs or calls, except for this last one I sent that Monday morning... not knowing.

Some random memories: he imitated accents so brilliantly, my favorite was when he'd stick his stomach out and pretend to be some funny drunk old man ...that left us all cracking up, ribs all hurting. What a COMEDIAN. Or that period back in the day in their much younger days when him and Osei wore red ALL the time. LOL

So for me, I've chosen to remember and cherish many special moments such as these because even though it's sad he's not physically here, they still bring a smile and laughter like he still is.
To uncle Chris, auntie Emelda, Julius, Paul, Ashleynne (sp) thank you soo much for sharing loving Danny with us. We miss him.
To all his crew, buddies for life, I want to say thank you for being loyal to your brother, always looking out for him (I know he did the same for you).
To all of us, not forgetting the young ones who called him uncle, Ashley, Chloe, Kevin, Keza to name a few, take heart and cherish those many special times you shared with him. I know he would want us to be happy and not sad.
With that, I want to thank God for this precious gift, the gift of Danny's life to us. May your soul rest peacefully dear Danny boy. Till we meet again. Love & warm thoughts.
