Daniel Christopher Munyaneza Kayoboke's Obituary
Daniel Christopher Munyaneza Kayoboke, 43, passed away at his home in San
Diego, CA on December 12, 2022. A selfless and kind soul, he had a joyful
energy and zest for life that embodied love and laughter. His infectious smile, and
warm, comforting nature was immediately felt by all in his presence and he will
greatly be missed. We thank God for blessing the world with our beloved son,
brother, cousin and friend and we honor his life.
Daniel was born on July 30, 1979 in Nairobi, Kenya. He is the third born son of
Chistopher and Imelda Kayoboke. He grew up with older brothers Julius and
Paul, and younger sister Ashlyn. From a young age, he was very devoted to
family and always eager to help. As a loving and humble child, he strongly
desired to be of service and help others. As a young child he took religion
seriously and served as an Altar Boy in his church. He attended St. Mary’s
primary school and later attended Peponi and Braeburn before completing high
school at Malvern in the United Kingdom. Daniel often shared fond memories of
his time at school where he made many lifelong friends.
Daniel moved to the United States in the year 2000 to continue his education at
United States International University (USIU) in San Diego, CA. He was a happy
go-lucky student and loved the multicultural society that became his new home.
In 2005 he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in International
Business. Because of his strong desire to be of service to others, after
graduation he pursued a career in Finance and Accounting.
Daniel was an avid sports fan and lover of eclectic music. Through the years, he
enjoyed gathering with loved ones and making new friends wherever he went. He
formed many close-knit friendships throughout his life and the list of people who
will mourn him is extensive. We are all honored to have experienced and
personally know the presence of a soul like Daniel’s.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His Parents; Christopher and Imelda Kayoboke
in Kampala. His Siblings; Wini in Paris, Ellen (and Peter) in Sacramento, Julius
(and Sarah), Paul (and Nicole) in Kigali and Ashlyn in Tokyo, along with a whole
host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and a great many
close friends from all over the world.
“When he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the
face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no
worship to the garish sun”
Romeo and Juliet, Act II, Scene II
