How do I find the words? I love this man with my entire being. There was a gravitational pull I’d never felt before. We couldn’t get enough of each other. I thought it was a love story for the ages. I will love DJ for the rest of my life. Our life was beautiful. Fun and silly and full of affection and words of affirmation. I pray that DJ has found peace and that he can see how much he’s loved by those left behind.

When I lived in Escondido, I used to love going up to Marietta and taking DJ out to lunch. We used to have some good times when we went out. I have so many memories from when he was born to when he went to heaven they’re all my favorites. Did you love to fish and he would catch him too I love you, son.
When DJ was in high school (2006) he asked if I could pick him after school. I said why? Dad was supposed to pick you up. He interrupted me and explained that he had his girlfriend with him and didn't want dad picking him and her up, embarrassing him with 50s music (DJ's face singing "Who Put the Bomp"🤣🤣🤣🤣) DJ not willing to take that chance begged me to pick him up. He put a Slipknot CD in and had me drive his girlfriend home. Funny though, DJ took a liking to Doo Whop music and loved it to his final day. I will always remember this hilarious memory! God rest your soul brother, I love you💕💕
DJ was a good friend a very giving man. We went fishing, and had many drinks and smokes together over the past 7 years. We worked together and had amazing conversations and could be ourselves around each other, being open about life, love, stress, and setbacks. We talked about where we grew up music our pasts and how we grew up from being punk kids to adults. He was a real one, and I will forever miss him and our long winded conversations, full of jokes and laughter. My heart goes out to his loved ones, may you find smiles and tears in the memories that you hold dear.
One time we stayed the night at nays house. I know we just came from driving a distance and it was late, I didn’t want to walk into the house so I pretended to be asleep so dj could carry me inside, when he picked me up and started walking I opened my eye and he caught me fake sleeping and he just laughs and goes “you faker” and I pretended to go back to sleep 🤣
He also told me heating up pizza rolls in a bowl was the best way to go , half way through mix them around and finish cooking for the “perfect pizza rolls”
He also loved to always play pranks, as so did my other cousins , I really never had a bad time when dj was around he was always the life of the party anywhere he went.
He taught me how to play zombies, which of course will forever be my best memories because even after being miles and miles apart, we still got to do what we enjoyed doing together and just talk about bullshit. I’ll forever miss that. He had his intro song “bodies by drowning pool” that we’d throw on and turn all the way up way to early and get pumped for the game.
Also remember the time we went fishing and I was already running late so here’s dj “where are you I don’t have all day” and turns out I forget my wallet so he covered the fishing day🤣sorry Deej
There’s so many more memories I’ll always keep so close to me. I love you forever Deej I can’t wait to see you at the crossroads. Save a seat for me!
He was the fun uncle and hilarious brother.
This was in 2003. Mom DJ and I went to the movies, but prior to the movies we bought snacks. Mom wanted her peanut M&Ms. DJ wanted to see if he could toss an M&M in Mom's mouth, but instead of tossing it, Chuck didn't inside her mouth and it went into the back of her throat. I died laughing! I was in tears like just was inconsolably laughing so hard my sides hurt. DJ was always making me laugh. I can't think of a time when I wasn't laughing around him. 🤣
