Don & I were in Helix HS band together. We won a few championships and had a lot of fun. One year, we had an English class where we went to the theater, watched movies, plays, etc. We told our parents we were going to a theater. Actually, we were going to a Padres game with some girls. Don's mom called my mom & we both got busted!! High school, gotta love it!
Don was a Dooley for the AF Academy & I was a cadet for the CG Academy! When we got home we'd swap academy stories!!
I saw him at the Helix 10th reunion & met Veronica! Donny Jr. was pretty young, too. We talked about him being a postman! I ended up being one, too. Too bad we weren't able to talk & laugh about being in the USPS!! Rest in Peace, Don!
