Doris Jean Cooper's Obituary
Doris Jean Cooper, 83, of Temecula,CA, passed away peacefully on 05/28/2026.
Born on June 15 1942, in Chattanooga TN, she lived a life filled with love, dedication, and kindness. She traveled by train from Tennessee when she was a baby with her mother, Elizabeth Corine Horner and father, William David Horner to California where she met the father of her three children, Ivan Garry Cooper Sr, when she was in her teens. Doris was known for her career in the bakery industry, her published poetry, love for her animals and passion to have a good time wherever she went.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Elizabeth & William Horner Sr., her sister Mary Elizabeth Horner, her brother Darryl Lee Horner, and her son Ivan Gary Cooper Jr. She is survived by her brother, William David Horner Jr; her daughters, Debra Jean and Diana Lynn; her grandchildren, Cory, Christine, Crystal, Letesha, Broc, Jenna and Kimberly; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 7 nieces and nephews; and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the family stone and gave her all for her family. She was known for being a wonderful daughter, Mother, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and friend to all who knew her and she was a blessing to all.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on 06/25/2026, viewing starting at 10 at Greenwood Memorial Park, Salli Lynn Chapel, 4300 Imperial Ave San Diego.
Doris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal”
