I am so very, very sorry to hear this news of Ed. He was married to my oldest cousin, Marilyn, for many years. ( Marilyn’s father, Milton Swain, and my mother, Pauline Swain Dubacher, were close siblings.) I will ALWAYS cherish this memory I have of Ed. Ed had a very unusual way of disciplining his children, Debi, Susie & David. The several times I saw him discipline, his voice never rose higher than a quiet talk….he would just look at them with a stare, call their name and say nothing afterwards…just stare!!! That impressed me so much at the age of 10 years old that I disciplined my own children, the same way, of not raising my voice. I don’t think Ed ever knew the deep impression he made on me…. I wish I had told him.
