The life of the party always... you were the historians, full of all kinds of memories and knowledge. You are missed so much. Rudy Whitaker (cousin), Camisha Johnson (cousin) and Ernest L. Beckett making memories.
There are so many memories with Mr. EB, however, I will share this photo of Me(Regina), my sister (Felicita), my son (Iko), and Mr. EB. We had so much fun this Thanksgiving Day (11/25/2021) at 5:02 pm. Mr. EB had all of us laughing so hard we could hardly take a picture
Lee made me smile just by being his genuine, witty self.
To the Family and other Friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this most somber times.
But in the mighty words of Jesus:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
I knew Ernest as Lee Beckett for a long time; more than 25 years. I was always amazed to hear his age. He didn't look it or act it. Black definitely didn't crack when it came to Lee. And he was in better shape than people half his age. I would see him riding his bike daily. Lee was one of the kindest and most straight forward people I knew. Always with a smile, a twinkle in his eyes, a joke or words of wisdom. Before I retired, I took a photo with Lee and I'm so glad I did. I'll treasure it and his smile in it. It was an honor to know you my Friend. This is not good-bye, for I'm sure I'll see you again in Heaven. Rest in Grace 🙏🏾 Connie Pearson
He was always in the mood for a good conversation. He helped a lot of people at work and at home most of all he enjoyed life. I remember when I was operating a little food store in my shop that he would always stop by to buy from. I started giving him all of my turnovers when I replaced them with new stuff. He would take them over to the shop in 94 and share them with his colleagues. They all enjoyed till I had to close shop.
He also made and delivered a cake 🎂 for Doc Holidays services, I will never forget.
God Bless Lee my Friend !!
Condolences and blessings to Ernest Lee Beckett. A man with a lot of guidance and wisdom for anyone willing to listen. He will truly be missed. Rest in Paradise
