Frances Jean Sanchez's Obituary
Frances passed away on September 2nd of natural causes. She was predeceased by her son, Carl J. Cobb III. She is survived by husband Esteban, sister Gail and brother-in-law Kevin Cheney of Descanso, CA. Daughter-in-law Linda Cobb of San Diego, CA. Granddaughter Jeannie Lyn Quijano and three grandchildren as well as Jesus Quijano, husband from Los Angeles, CA. Also survived by grandson Carl J. Cobb IV of San Diego, CA. Survived by stepson Stephen J Sanchez and daughter-in-law Nelida and 2 grandsons all from Texas. Survived by Armondo Sanchez and Vonnie from Alpine, CA. Brother-in-law Ruben and siter-in-law Beverly Sanchez from Santee, CA. Sister-in-law Alice and brother-in-law Richard Meza from Santee, CA. Brother-in-Law Roberto and sister-in-law Susie Sanchez also great nephew Bobby from Spring Valley, CA. Stepdaughter Tanya and husband Andy Van de Veren from Boise, ID. Great-nephew Miguel Sanchez and Christine, Great-nephew Armando and Joselynn Sanchez from Lakeside, CA. Also survived by three nieces, Michelle Bealo from Alpine, CA., Kathryn Lee and husband Daryl from Lakeside, CA., Elizabeth Hoops and husband Keith from Maine as well as two great-nieces and a great-nephew. Also survived by 2 great-nephews, Trenton Turner and Derek Lee.
Frances graduated from San Diego High School in 1957
Frances went to work at the San Diego County office of Education in 1965. Working for 35 years, she retired in December 2000.
She worked as a program assistant in the juvenile court and community schools. In 1994 she was classified employee of the year.
She was also a foster parent to 40 foster children over the span of 4 decades.
She enjoyed traveling as well as going on cruises.
