Frank Gould Carver's Obituary
Frank was a much beloved family man, scholar, and friend to thousands. He and his wife, Betty, have two children, Mark and Carol, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Frank was a professor at Point Loma Nazarene University, author of several books, and a scholar. His field of study was New Testament Biblical Theology. He is the author of several books and, most notably, a significant part of the translation team that published the New American Standard Bible. Frank and Betty have been married for over 68 years, beginning March 31, 1949. They were fortunate to travel the world and live in many places, including Upland, IN; Kansas City, MO; Princeton, NJ; Edinburgh, Scotland; Altadena, CA; San Diego, CA; Johannesburg, South Africa; Boston, MA; and finally, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. He will be missed by so many; his love and influence has spread worldwide through his writing and teaching. He is now in the presence of Jesus for eternity. In lieu of flowers, contributions are welcomed in the Frank Carver Endowed Scholarship at Point Loma Nazarene University at 3900 Lomaland Drive, San Diego, CA 92106
