Isis Athena Garibay
Born April 10,1986 to Henry and Cheryl Garibay.
Isis Athena grew up on Billow in Lomita Village. Isis has four siblings Ernest, Henry, Evita and Josie and 12 nephews and nieces. Isis Athena attended Revere Elementary at 3yrs old, then Pen and Audubon Elementary and graduated from Gompers on June 11,2004. When Isis was able to eat regular food, she loved to eat Taco Bell beans, KFC mash potatoes & gravy and blow pops.
Isis loved to listen to music ever since her dad introduced her to James Brown. Isis had medical conditions but that never got in the way of her having a good time with her music. When she was in her car seat, she would kick and rock herself to the music.
Isis also loved to watch Disney movies but her favorite movie to watch was “The Little Mermaid”. Isis got to meet Ariel when she came to her house for a birthday party, she loved when Ariel sang “Part of your world”. Isis had a big smile and started kicking her little feet.
Isis was always known for her beautiful long black hair and always for her long braid. When Isis was 21 she went to live at Edgemoor Nursing Facility. While Isis was there she had an amazing nursing team, she even attended activities like Zumba, church and even had her nails painted. The nurses gave her the nickname “Babygirl”. Isis loved all her Nurse Aunties.
On June 5th, 2026, Isis departed to the heavens above.
Isis Athena is survived by her parents Henry and Cheryl Garibay, Big Brothers Ernest & Henry, Big Sister Evita and little sister Josephina. Isis Athena you and your infectious smile will be dearly missed. We Love you Isis.
