John was a great communicator and a great man. He was very active in his community - especially with at risk youth. I will miss him. My condolences to his family and friends.
Mr. Alvarado found great joy and helping his local Veterans, their families and our community. He became a member of VFW 7420 Don Diego 3 years ago and couldn't be prouder.
His commitment to food security mission, and taking care of our elders was unparalleled. He helped our post reach many more families with his help.
Please accept our condolences to the family and our community

Dearest John,
The challenges you faced in life helped shape you into the great man you became. You not only loved others, but you were also deeply loved in return. You will be greatly missed, but I find comfort in knowing you are rejoicing in heaven, probably handing out your Good Neighbor business cards. I can imagine you swapping fishing stories with the disciples.
Thank you for being the best big brother ever and for everything you did for Bruce, me, and the boys. I'll never forget ansering your phone calls and hearing you say, "is this Joe's bar and grill?" You'd also say, "be good, you know why? Becuase I know Santa Claus!"
We will meet again one day; in the meantime, please tell everyone I said hello! Does your mansion look like a cabin? Is there good fishing nearby? I'm glad you had a strong neck, because your crown must be really heavy! I miss you!
Love you forever,
Diana
