To the family of John Wesley Houston, my condolences on your loss! I met Johnny in 1968 at San Diego City College where a few of us, James Avery, Fornay Johnson, among others would gather and talk about life! We had good wholesome fun and then all of us would go to our respective classes! Johnny, Shirley George, and I travelled to Sacramento to attend a BPAC Conference to discuss issues in our community and schools. Prior to Johnny moving to LA, our friendship rekindled via his best friend and we have remained friends. He loved to talk about his experiences as an actor and kept me abreast of what he was doing! My memories are great of Johnny! Know that I will always have love for John Wesley Houston! Tell my buddy James Avery (aka my “Farmer in the Dell” hello! You can rest easy my friend! Love and Peace.
