John Joseph Klak's Obituary
With Dignity and Courage, John fought hard and lost his battle from complications of Lymphoma.Born in Pottsville, PA on September 8, 1960, he was the son of the late Michael J. Sr. and Theresa E. Klak, both of Frackville, PA. He was a 1978 graduate of North Schuylkill High School and the North Area Vocational Technical School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. John served honorably in the U.S. Navy for 20 years retiring in July 1998. John worked as a Deputy Correctional Probation Officer at San Diego County Juvenile Hall, where he found his true calling in helping others. He has been a Substance Abuse Counselor for 10 years, and for the past 5 years he found his niche working at SARP, Port Loma, CA serving active duty military. John’s co-workers from SARP recently honored him by naming their weekly award to a patient as “The John Klak Most Improved Patient Award” John was very humbled by this honor. He had an incredible witty sense of humor and smile which was shared by all. He will truly be missed by many. He is survived by his loving sister Mariann Theresa Young and her husband Donald B. of Pottsville, PA Loving brother Michael J.
