Phyllis and Jim,
I was so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Please accept my sincere condolences. As we have aged our contact has diminished, but has not diminished the recall of so many wonderful memories we had shared over the years. As hunting was a major part of our association, one of the thoughts I remembered was John’s desire to make sure anyone and everyone enjoyed hunting as much as he did. No matter who showed up at the 7/11 on Saturday morning in the valley John made them welcome. He made sure they were involved and took game home. It was a small gesture that was probably overlooked, but I considered it to be just one of John’s many acts of kindnesss. I know I will miss John, but have seventy years of his friendship and the many wonderful memories that we created together will keep him forever present in my mind.
Lynn
