Johnny always had a warm smile on his face... he was goofy, fun and all around an amazing human being... I feel so blessed to have been able to meet him and share lots of memories with him over the past couple years....... Last year, 2020 Super Bowl, (we both loved football, something we had in common, he would always give me crap for being a Green Bay Packers fan lol) Johnny, my mother (crystal), Kyra (sister) and I went to our grandparents in Havasu and had a huge party. Johnny as sweet as he is pulled me aside with a cold one in his hand and a big smile on his face and had said to me “ I know your father hasn’t been around for you and Kyra, but I want you to know that you both can come to me for anything, I’ll always be here for you, Kyra and your mother”. I haven’t been able to get that out of my head since I heard the news about his passing. I just wish I could hug him one last time. He will be greatly missed and he is extremely loved. Forever in our hearts. ❤️

Johnny, thank you for the years we had together. I will forever hold the good times close to my heart. I had always imagined we’d run into each other one day randomly when we were old and grey and catch up on where our lives went after our story ended. I would always call you “Juan of a kind” because you truly were. From your white shoes, white glasses and white belt, your big ol’ mobile phone, your humor, your talents and your ability to never judge anyone made you so special. I know you’re in a better place now but you’ll definitely be missed here on earth. Until we meet again, you’ll forever be missed and your memory will live on by all of us who loved you. Johnny you are one of a kind. I will miss you always. I remember those days in high school when you and James would invite me to the Chula Vista mall to go chase girls. I remember after high school you swoop me up in your White Honda Ridgeline and us hanging out till the wee hours of the night. I will always remember your infamous DJ Johnsta playlists you would play or send me. Thank you for always remembering my birthday it was always good to catch up and hear from you. You were always such a cool dude. I will forever treasure our friendship and remember you. Rest in power Johnny love John

As I grow older, it seems that I come to realize how very important our childhood days are. The further they get away, the more you seem to cherish them. This can't be anymore true than the times I was able to spend with Johnny. Besides the fact that I was able to catch most of his pitching performances in Little League and see first hand how competitive he was and how tactical he was, I was able to spend a lot of time with him away from the field.
Sleeps overs at his house and spending all day playing wiffle ball, football in the street or just throwing the ball against the wall, we always had a good time. It seems like we would just make up a game and we would have a blast.
People will come and go in our lives. We grow up, we have business that take a lot of our time, we have families that we prioritize and the time just someti slips away. I wish I could have spent more years with Johnny as an adult but I will say that I was fortunate enough to have him in my life for a few years and those few years created a lifetime of great memories for me. The world will miss you Johnny but you gave far more to this world than most and you were needed in heaven now. 🙏

Johnny I'll live forever with one regret at least ...not reconnecting with you over the last so many years. You were one of a kind from childhood to adulthood I always admired you. I always have those childhood and teenage memories that never leave me. I see you now in heaven cruising in that brown Bel Air!! I grew up alot with you.It's been so many years and I still consider you the only best friend I ever had. I just wish as adults we hadnt lost touch but I'll take that blame to my grave. I'll miss you more than I ever thought but now realize. I'll have to wait a little longer, Until we meet on the other side John. Your a brother fallen forever in my heart. I know your having a blast up there. Everyone will keep your memory burning bright!!! Ill want a long awaited rematch at tecmo bowl in heaven. Best childhood video game, except when your best friend always takes the Raiders with the no name unstoppable Bo jackson character!! You always were on step ahead John!! Love ya brother
