Aunt Virgi, as I affectionally knew her, was a friend of my mother, Wilma E. J. Washington. They were both educators in the S. D. Unified School District. She has been on my mind throughout the years, so I decided to see if I could find a status on-line, and sadly found this. Whenever I was around her, be it out somewhere, or visiting in her immaculately beautiful home in Emerald Hills, I was in awe of her outer beauty . . . and her inner spirit was just as beautiful! My mother is still with us. . . I will whisper in her ear that her dear friend has long gone home to glory.
