My dearest and beautiful sister Nette, the eldest girl of our parent’s children…Nette you and I shared some of the funniest and sweetest memories from us as little girls, our teenage years, us being mothers, to us living in Germany together, and you and I laughing as you had me to play softball for the navy team that year…so many memories as sisters and friends…I will miss our many conversations, I will miss you saying “Meryl what you think? Lynette and I have been friends for 60 years. She was my sister/best friend for all 69 years. We shared a bond that was not breakable. She inspired me to follow in her footsteps and that is why I joined the United States Navy and I thank her for helping me shape my life and become the woman I am today. Nette loved her daughter, grandchildren, and her siblings. She was the oldest sister and made sure her younger siblings were taken care of. I will forever cherish the awesome and amazing friendship we had. I will keep all of our memories tucked deeply within my heart. Nette, you served your courage with honor and commitment.
