What an amazing father in law. He was truly a family man. His family came first. He worked his ass off to provide for his family. He was a perfectionist. Do it right the first time he said…if not..start over. I will never forget his smile, his laugh, or his ear shattering sneezes. " which he done on purpose!" I will always remember fishing in the bay, Shelter Island, and mostly all of the parties in their back yard. He was a comedian as well. He was always saying something funny. He always reminded us that he was kicked out of the 3rd grade for not shaving! If he saw someone with a large derrière, he said, " looks like a couple of pole cats trying to fight their way out of a gunny sack!" When we talk cars, he had his favorites. Years ago I had a Datsun truck. He said, you need a real truck…that thing wouldn't pull the nuts out of a Hershey bar! So I bought a Chevy..He said I should of bought a Ford. What a character! He will be missed! Dad had such a outgoing personality. He could talk to anyone and often times he did. I learned a new measure of cold from him, he would often say "it's colder than a well digger's ass in the Klondike." Now that's cold! He loved his family and even the people that married into it. He always treated me like one of his own. He was a proud man and rightfully so. He raised a great family and served his country honorably for over 40 years.
