Mary and my partner Julie would go to El Indio for Mexican food since the early 1980s with Mary and Tim. When I moved back to San Diego in 2013 Mary and I met up there. She told me about her church and her work with homeless people. It was her passion. I now see why she didn't reply to My emails and texts. I am so sorry for your/our loss. Mary was a loving soul whose love spilled over to many people. I'll miss her and Tim tremendously.
I've known Mary I believe since we moved to San Diego in 1975 and began attending Wesley United Methodist Church. She always had a friendly smile and a hug. She was a good friend to my mother for all these years and we're saddened to just learn of her passing. She will be greatly missed. RIP Mary. God bless you.
Mary opened up her home to me (where I have stayed with her on and off for the past couple of years). We spent many hours chatting on the porch and in her living room, sharing meals, laughing and crying. She was a kind and generous, open and loving person. I am so grateful for the gift she has been in my life. I will dearly miss her.
