Met Mike on the uss camden in 1998 to 2002 . Worked with him in the deck department he was a great guy he was someone to talk to about sports or life. He was very humble n hard working shipmate. You will be missed but your memories will always be there. Rip shipmate
I have too many memories of Boats to list. Spending almost every day with him for 2+ years in a little recruiting office in Pueblo, we were pretty tight.
But three things I will always remember.
1 - I've heard the phrase "Anyone can make rate, but only God makes Boatswain's Mates" more times than I can count.
2- Mike took great pride in his parallel parking's skills. 2005 Champ.
3 - His love of OU and the Broncos. Even when Texas beat them in the Red River Shootout in 05 and 06, he was still talking smack.
I'll miss most his cocky smile, and his ability to pick our friendship up right where we left it, even if we hadn't talked in a year.
I hope one day we meet again in heaven brother, then we can finally settle the argument of the best rate. Rest in Peace my friend, you are deeply missed!
