Monique Renee Ferguson's Obituary
Monique Renee Ferguson was born on December 2, 1980, in San Diego, California, to the late Norman Ferguson Sr. and her devoted mother, Claudia Ferguson. On October 10, 2025, Monique was called home to be with the Lord.
Monique accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Life Baptist Church by Pastor Owens. She attended Mount Miguel High School, proudly graduating with the Class of 1998. Later in life, she continued her education and earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Phoenix in 2012. Monique dedicated 13 years of service to the City of San Diego, where she was highly respected for her professionalism, compassion, and positive spirit.
Monique lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and watching horror movies, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family and friends. To Monique, everyone was family. Among her favorite places to visit was the beach, where she found peace and serenity.
Our hearts are forever changed by the life and love of our dearest Monique. To know her was to experience genuine kindness, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. She was funny, loving, and always giving. Through every season of life—the good, the bad, and everything in between—she stood beside us with strength, humor, and grace. Monique touched each of our lives in ways words can barely express, and her spirit will continue to live on in the countless memories we hold close.
Though she is no longer with us in body, she will forever remain with us in spirit. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that her light and love will never fade. We will carry her spirit with us always.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Ferguson Sr.; her sister, Jessica; grandparents, Frank and Mary Royal, Billy Jackson Sr. and Effie Jackson; her aunties, Claudia Holland and Jacqueline Royal; brother, Jason Edwards; mother-in-law, Sharon Mack; and sister, Keonna Tinsley-Lester.
