When we think of understanding and the meaning of " i'll always be there for you " well- we think of marilyn........
Growing up in my era everyone was Aunts & Uncles - kinda an " Old School Cool " way of saying we're all family to us littles - it was'nt till yrs later that marilyn explained that she was actually my cousin.... i was " shocked " but she gave me that look that made me feel that nothings going to change and i love that she was like that, such a special person & i'm so blessed to have her in my family and to have shown us so much..... I will always love her & i know shes playing piano and singing with the angels like she did at christmas

I could share many, many pages with memories of my cousin/sister Marilyn. The ones I am thinking of now: our scrapbooking together, pedicures, Gel nails, movies, shopping, Road trips, not to mention visiting six theme parks with our grandchildren. We also talked every evening on the telephone, sharing our joys and sorrows together. Talking about our childhoods was so much fun and we loved sharing the good times with our dads, who were brothers Lloyd and Floyd. I lost my parents at a young age, am an only child and Marilyn was my only connection to my Mom, and Dad. I miss her love, her kindness always to me, her understanding, and sharing all of our secrets together and laughing about them. I look forward to our reunion someday and we will take off right where we left off. I pick up the phone when I want to share and I miss her so much. The pain hopefully, will fade as time passes, that special love never will. Mar Mar will always have a special place in my heart, as long as I am on this Earth. Rest in peace my darling cousin Marilyn. I love you very much, Karen Skiles

I remember MarMar’s ready and easy laughter! I remember her love for family esp going to Disneyland, in the heat, and their great attitudes of my mom and her cousin MarMar. I loved spending any time with them. Also, I enjoyed and laughed a lot participating in a yoga class with MarMar and her mom, my Aunt Lois. What a fun time we had. She blessed my mom’s life, filled her lonely evenings with love, good conversation and abiding friendship.
