Oscar Dale Foster's Obituary
Oscar Dale Foster was born March 13, 1949 in San Diego, California. He was the second of two sons born to Wilbur L. Foster Sr. and Isie B. Foster, who preceded him in death. Oscar accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age.While at Memorial Junior High and San Diego High School, he distinguished himself as an outstanding student, public speaker and a top Southern California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Basketball player.Oscar attended the University of Minnesota on a full academic and basketball scholarship. He married his high school sweetheart Jane Martin and from this union was born Oscar Beau Foster.Oscar was a tremendous personality whose potential was limitless. He impacted the lives of many who loved him. His life was an example of kindness, courage, forgiveness, humility and a loving spirit toward all. Playing his guitar and Harmonica brought him and others much joy. Throughout his adult life he faced many challenges but never lost his faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, often quoting the books of the bible from Genesis to Revelation.On March 28, 2018 Oscar was taken to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior, King Jesus, to rest in His peace and love.Surviving to cherish his memory are his son Oscar Beau (Jenn) grandchildren Ginger, Zoe, and Beau; brother Wilbur Foster Jr, (Donna), Nephews Wilbur Foster 111 (Yvette), Michael Foster (Ann), Niece Jarrah Foster; close cousin Lisa Gillispie (Dr. Robert) and many relatives and friends.
