“We knew Bro. Stansberry for many years.” There was never a better man who lived like him. He was a man who befriended many people over his lifetime. He was a well loved Pastor and showed many by his example of true Christianity. He knew the word of God and lived it and was a true inspiration to his friends and Saints.He Baptized my mother Ruth when she was 70 years old and so was very much appreciated for his love and care as she attended his Church. This world has lost a Great man, but Heaven has gained a Saint. We know he has finished this race but his reward is everlasting with the Lord. Our Deepest Sympathy, Jim and Suzi Greenbank

Among the many noteworthy achievements in the life of this exceptional man, is his service a Sailor in the World’s Finest Navy from Nov 1951 – Nov 1955. During his time in the U.S, Navy, Brother Stansberry served aboard the USS VALLEY FORGE (CVA 45), an attack aircraft carrier, during the Korean War, as an Interior Communications Electrician within the Engineering Department, “E” Division. You can see him pictured in the VALLEY FORGE’s Korean Cruise Book 1952-53 at this link: https://www.navysite.de/cruisebooks/cv45-53/169.htm Prior to his Honorable Discharge in Nov 1955, Brother Stansberry achieved the rank of IC2 – Interior Communications Electrician Petty Officer Second Class (E-5). He earned the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal Korea and National Defense Service Medal. I offer this venerable Veteran the traditional “Fair Winds and Following Seas”, until we meet again on Heaven’s Golden Shores!
