Doug, I send my condolences to you and your family during this time of loss. As you know, I lost my mother back in January, and a day doesn't go by that I don't think about her and miss her. I've found that little memories of her pop up now and then, and they put a smile on my face. I hope you, and the rest of his loved ones, can cope with the loss by remembering the good times.
My good friend Tom was one of the best men I have ever known. Not only was he a very good person, but he was kind, generous, and loving. He was one of the men we call the "salt of the earth". One of the few people I have met who made this world we live in a much better place. I will truly miss him, but he will always hold a special place in my heart.
