My uncle Samuel Garza was a warm, kind, and unique person. He will be greatly missed. Here is a poem I wrote in honor of his memory: A Poem for Uncle Dear uncle Sam, We told you we loved you, but you were ill and unaware, Yet, you knew we loved you because you saw how much we cared. You would always listen and let me speak my mind, Back in golden years when all we had was time. You are the eagle who soared high into the heavens, Lived life fast and poor health a result, It overpowered your strength and your life came to a halt. Now lotus and the rose sadly weep, For part of their sunshine they can no longer keep. Together they cry, "Come home, we love and miss you brother!" But this I'm sure you know, You'll live in our hearts forever uncle, Since, love can only grow. I love you uncle Sam. Sincerely, Erika
Linda, you are a true friend, you helped him in his time of need…thank you.
Sammy, we have known each other since kindergarten at Sherman elementary school. we have been good friends all our adult life, we have done all the things good friends do, we went out, we went out dancing, we went to concerts, went to the casinos and we partied with all our friends from back in the day. You are our hero. I will miss you my dearest friend, God Bless…..RIP…. Love your friend, Anna Marquez
You'll always be remembered from your nephew – Manuel D. Garza

I will miss you Sammy.
I knew Sammy for 37 years. The first 6 years he was my boyfriend, after that he was my friend and for the last 13 years, my friend and roommate. We always tried to help each other. He was fun and sometimes onery. We shared lots of laughs. He was a hero in Viet Nam and credited with saving many lives. He was a believer in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. See you in heaven my brother. Linda Moore
