Sam, was a great man. He was a excellent uncle to my brother and I. I have many fond and memorable moments of Sam. He would always make me laugh and give me sound advice whenever I asked him for his input. His Naval career and military achievements were always something I looked up to him for.Captain Sam Major Jr., will be truly missed. We, the Boyd family, are very sad to hear of Sam's passing. He became friends with Zackie Boyd at the retirement home where they played poker together. He also was a companion to both Zackie and Antelma when there were trips to the local casino. Please know that all of his family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers. He will be missed.
