My friend I still can't believe it. We had so many memories together running track together at Crawford High School giving coach Nelson the side eye when he would make us run 6 ;220's at race pace for practice ???:) beach parties, and spending the night at each other houses, laughing, talking, and just enjoying our sisterhood. . I pray that you rest in peace my sister and that the love of God comfort your family.. I love you?????
I send my heartfelt condolences to the family. May God give you strength and comfort at this difficult time. I will be praying for you. Pam Stewart
I worked with both Themetrice and Steve at Cox. I remember passing along a message between the two of them but I don't recall exactly now how it went. Was it she was interested in him or he was interested in her ??? Lol. I just remember thinking they would be a good match for each other, two nice people. And her so pretty like a princess and Steve the gentleman like Prince Charming. I know she is an angel among angels. — Debbie Cortell
There's no way I can talk about my childhood without including the Braswell family, life on Liber Street included the many adventures of the Spikes and Braswell girls. I remember Meeche as the feisty one and when I ran into her 26 years ago – I was happy to see that she was still as feisty as ever. Rest in peace Meeche and to the rest of the Braswell family – you have been and will continue to be in my prayers.
In high school you and Rudy Johnson got hypnotized and sang a duet together just good memories from junior high to high school?. Prayers to the family an angel taken to soon. RIP my friend
I've been trying to track Meechee down for years…she helped shape my years at Hardy Elementary and to this day, I treasure her spirit and energy. I want so badly to tell her how an experience we shared continues to hold power (good power!) within me, and that, from across the miles and years that have separated us, she sill steers conversation in my life…conversation that resolves all kinds of issues and concerns. May her beautiful family be surrounded with tremendous love and support, especially now. My love to your girl. Jo McElroy Senecal
My brightest memory of Meeche is when we were in 8th grade. Jelly shoes, and her trying to teach me how to dance. We had choir together, and for our 50's show Meeche, Bridgett Fletcher and myself won the audition for "Stop. In the Name of Love". She had the most beautiful smile. To Patrice, Regina, and the rest of the family, my heart goes out to you. May she R.I.P.
Please forgive the misspelings in the previous post. I am so shattered to hear of Mechee's passing. Felecia
Mechee and I were friends. we met at Crawler High School. We ran track together. She was way better than me. LOL. I called her mother, "mom". I spent the night at her house many times during high school…we had so much fun. I remember having a drink when we were much too young to do so and jumping off her parent's balcony into the pool below. I'm so sorry that we loss contact over years and even more sad to hear of her loss. May God bless her family and all those who loved her. I did! Love, Felecia.
