Mary Neff
Dear Andy, Daun, Roger, Anita, Rodney and all the Grandkids, So sorry to hear of Vernita's passing. She was a great lady that always had a smile in her voice and a contagious laugh. The first time I met her was at the Santee High School, and was introduced by Waldo to her as the big V. She was the Worthington matriarch. Andy, glad that you came into Vernita's life and that you were able to spend so many memorable years together. You both always invited me and Waldo into your home, and made us feel welcome. I always looked forward to the cabbage rolls at xmas. and the yummy desserts. Andy and Vernita's laughter always filled the room, and you could feel the warmth that they generated. I am so glad that we kept in touch over the years, even if only a xmas card. I knew that she did not feel well, and my last xmas card I said "They can not make it to tough for us", and she was one strong lady. She will always be in our hearts. She is not gone, but only gone ahead. Love, Mary Worthington Neff
