Wilbur was my neighbor, down the street in our mobile home park. He was such a nice man who was always great company. He was friendly to my mother as well as the other ladies in the park. Always stopped by to meet my out of town family when ever he was passing the house on his scooter. A few years back he spent Thanksgiving dinner at our house and was never at a loss for something to talk about. His wine of choice that evening was Chianti, which non of us had ever had. It was delicious with dinner and the evening joke was: there was no fava beens (“Silence of the Lambs” movie)to go with the wine. When his doctors took his drivers license away, because of bad eye sight and age, he hopped on his scooter daily and drove it all over Escondido. He was always ready to help a neighbor who needed a little help.
